As a Rhode Island native Richard Whipple began his work in carpentry in 1973 working in new home construction and additions. He started a business in 1983 specializing in interior trim, custom woodworking and design. After a move to Arkansas in 1990 he started Country Village Builders, a custom home building company with an emphasis on interior design. By 1994, the company began producing its own architectual moldings and cabinetry. During this time the focus became more centered on interior design and he made the transition to full time custom woodworking. The focus of the company was not to follow the production shop approach, but to provide the individual client the time and attention to detail that was necessary to meet their expectations. This included custom interior/exterior doors, flooring, cabinetry, furniture, period reproductions, and architectural molding.
Now in North Carolina as The Carolina Woodwright, Richard's aim is to provide the same personalized service. Whether your need is custom cabinetry or a special accent piece to complement your home, you can find what you are looking for here.
